Peter Bolam
Peter is Legal Practitioner Director of Solus IP Pty Ltd.
He is a very senior lawyer with a strong academic and practical background in intellectual property and commercial law where he provides advice upon front-end contracting as well as Court enforcement of intellectual property rights.
He is the immediate past Chair of the QLS Technology and Intellectual Property Law Sub-Committee and the current Chair of the QLS Business Law Executive Committee. He was a member of the first group of practitioners accredited by the Queensland Law Society (QLS) as a Business Law Specialist in 2006.
He is a regular guest lecturer at tertiary institutions: Bond University, Griffith University, Queensland University of Technology and author of the Intellectual Property chapter of the Lawyers Practice Manual published by Thomson Law Book Co. He is a regular contributor to the Internet Law Bulletin published by LexisNexis.
Recent major achievements
• Representing Australian exclusive licensee of a portfolio of internationally recognised trade marks and copyrights in a series of infringement disputes in the Federal Court and Federal Circuit Court of Australia.
• Representing the Australian branch office of a United Kingdom company in Court proceedings for misuse of its confidential information.
• Representing SME organisations in a series of disputes involving trade mark infringement, passing off and ACL infringement to successfully negotiate resolutions without necessity of Court proceedings.

Vanessa Falvo
Vanessa is an energetic Lawyer working in dispute resolution and litigation.
Vanessa began her career in law in 2006, working as a personal assistant to a Partner in a Melbourne based law firm. In 2007 she commenced studying for her Bachelor of Laws. Throughout Vanessa’s studies she worked within the legal profession in differing capacities at various Victorian law firms.
In 2009, Vanessa graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and relocated to Brisbane. There she completed her Practical Legal Training and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in December 2010 and later to the High Court of Australia.
Vanessa takes satisfaction in pressing disputes to a timely resolution and works closely with more senior lawyers to achieve this result for clients.
She has represented clients in matters ranging from simple debt recovery and insolvency to complex litigation involving property and commercial matters. She has represented clients in the Federal Court and Federal Circuit Court of Australia as well as in the Queensland Supreme and District Courts. Vanessa has also represented clients in the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Angela O'Neill
Angela is an experienced Paralegal working in dispute resolution and litigation.
She began her career in law in 2002 with a school based traineeship and since then has worked as a paralegal. She is currently studying part-time to complete her Bachelor of Laws.
Angela has developed a strong interest in the creative industries and the protection and enforcement of their intellectual property rights.
She enjoys the variety and complexity of dispute resolution and litigation where she:
•Works with senior lawyers to ensure the cost effective and efficient conduct of matters.
• Conducts searches and enquiries to gather evidence.
• Participates in discussions of enforcement strategy.
• Provides legal support in preparation for mediations and court appearances.
• Maintains contact with clients, counsel, other solicitors and other parties to progress matters without unnecessary delay.
Angela has assisted in matters in the Commonwealth courts: Federal Court and Federal Circuit Court of Australia, in Queensland courts and tribunals: Supreme, District and Magistrates Courts of Queensland, the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) and in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

Certificate IV in Business.
Currently studying Bachelor of Laws.
